Overview

Remote Monitoring Platform is an industrial smart grid management platform developed for Chloride Exide to monitor, visualize, and control grid-scale multi-vendor solar power installations across client sites.

The system aggregates live telemetry streams from heterogeneous solar inverter APIs (GoodWe, Growatt, Deye, Victron/VRM), rendering spatial Leaflet GIS site maps and executing real-time demand curtailment and blackout emergency control commands.

Key Engineering Contributions

Architected a multi-vendor solar telemetry management platform integrating APIs across leading inverter manufacturers including GoodWe, Growatt, Deye, and Victron/VRM into a unified operational dashboard for monitoring grid-scale energy generation.

Engineered a resilient, real-time alert notification engine utilizing custom Redux listener middleware, STOMP over WebSockets with SockJS, and RxJS observables to handle private/public topic streams with automatic reconnection logic.

Implemented an interactive GIS spatial map using Leaflet to render geographical distribution, operational status, fault alerts, and power generation metrics for hundreds of solar sites.

Developed critical smart grid management features including remote power curtailment commands, batch site shutdown/startup protocols during blackout emergency events, and automated PDF/CSV fleet analytics reporting.

Optimized application state and data fetching by leveraging RTK Query with declarative caching and invalidation, while enforcing dynamic Role-Based Access Control across granular user privileges.
